- Welcome and thanks for checking in. This blog is an extension of my website. Please take a moment to visit. I'd love to hear your feedback. I am an interior designer and visual merchandiser and have been for about 5 years. I love the way design can be used to affect emotions-to bring calm after a long day, to bring excitement to a gathering, to bring people together. There is nothing more rewarding to me than walking into a space, seeing the possibilities that live there and then turning it into a reality. I can't say that I have a favorite design style. Who wants to choose between the clean streamlined look of mid-century modern and the elegant detail of Federalist? Not me--and thankfully I don't have to. The "Christine Schwalm style" is flexible, liveable and purposeful. Whether that means Eames or Phyfe is up to you.
